As a founding member of Opera Factory he performed roles in Orpheus in the Underworld, Cherryomuski and A Christmas Carol. In 2003 Wade joined the NBR New Zealand Opera for productions of Boris Godonov (Mussorgsky) and Tosca (Puccini).  He also performed the role of the Sprecher and Sarastro in productions of Die Zauberflote (Mozart) and was an Emerging Artist at the New Zealand Opera. 

        He also appeared as soloist in many concert performances in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.  He worked with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Auckland and Wellington Philharmonic orchestras.  In 2004 he was awarded the Circle 100 scholarship.
         
        He was a member of "New Vintage", a group of young talented performers who performed in the "Our Giants Concert" with Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

        In 2005 Wade moved to Perth and took up a principal position with the Australian Opera Studio.  During his two year contract his performances included Truffaldino in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Elijah in Elijah (Mendelssohn), Crespel, Luther, and Coppelieus in Les Contes D'Hoffmann (Offenbach), Don Alfonso in Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Unulfo in Rodelinda (Handel), Colas in Bastien und Bastienna (Mozart), The Count des Grieux in Manon (Massenet) and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart). He graduated with Honors.

        In December 2006 he performed for the Hessisches Staatstheater in Wiesbaden, Germany. He sang the Bass role in Strawinsky's "Pulcinella".

        In 2007 he wone The NZ Aria competition, The Napier Aria competition and was runner up in the 2007 Lexus songquest. He recently performed the role of Zuniga in Southern Opera's Carmen (Bizet). Wade is currently the Dame Malvina Major PriceWaterhouseCoopers Young Artist 2007 for the NBR New Zealand Opera Company.

        In 2008 he performed the Bass roles in the IFANZ/Opera de Lyon  Season of the Kurt Weil Double Bill. And  the role of Colline in the NBR NZ Opera's winter season of La Boheme. And also the role of Ferrando in Southern opera's Il Trovatore.

In 2009, since graduating from The National Opera Studio in London  competed as a semi-finalist at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World 2009 in Cardiff, Wales, and a Quater Finalist at the Neue Stimmen competition in Geutersloh, Germany. He Attended the Solti-Te Kanawa Accademia di Bel Canto 2009 in July.  Wade also sang performed at the Linari Festival in Tuscany, the Verbier Festival in Switzerland and the Edinburgh Festival's concert performance of Verdi's Macbeth which was recorded by the BBC.  He also returned to Christchurch, NZ with his wife Emma Pearson where they both sang principal roles in Southern Opera's season of Mozart's Magic flute.

Wade sang the title role in Le Nozze di Figaro for the NBR NZ Opera's 2010 Autumn season.
